Honoring the Body’s Innate Capacity for Healing Through Deep Listening and Intuitive Touch
“Your body sets the pace. My role is to listen, support, and gently guide.”

Understanding the Mind-Body Connection
Our bodies are constantly responding to our experiences. Physical injuries, chronic stress, emotional distress, and traumatic events can all influence how our nervous system functions and how we hold tension within our bodies.
Over time, the nervous system may develop protective patterns in response to these experiences. Muscles remain guarded, movement becomes restricted, breathing patterns change, and the body can struggle to find a true state of rest—even when the original stressor is no longer present.
These responses are not signs that something is wrong with your body. They are often adaptations that once served a protective purpose.
But what happens when the body continues protecting itself long after that protection is needed?
This is where Intuition-Guided Somatic Therapy offers a different approach.
Rather than focusing solely on where pain or restriction is present, we explore the relationship between the physical body, the nervous system, and the experiences that may be influencing these patterns.
The goal is not to force the body to change, but to create the conditions in which it can begin to feel safe enough to let go.
What Makes This Approach Different?
Traditional physical therapy often focuses on restoring function through strengthening, stretching, mobility, and movement retraining. While these approaches are incredibly valuable and remain an important part of my work, I've come to recognize that sometimes the body needs something different before these techniques can be truly effective.
Beneath the surface, there may be deeply ingrained patterns of tension, guarding, or nervous system protection that limit the body's ability to respond to traditional treatment. By first addressing these underlying patterns and creating a greater sense of safety within the body, we can begin to remove those barriers—allowing movement, strengthening, and other therapeutic approaches to become more effective and meaningful.
Intuition-Guided Somatic Therapy brings together clinical knowledge, skilled therapeutic touch, nervous system awareness, and intuitive guidance.
Through gentle myofascial techniques, joint mobilization, intentional positioning, breathwork, and mindful movement, I listen and respond to what your body is communicating in the moment.
Rather than following a predetermined sequence of techniques, each session unfolds according to your body's responses, your comfort, and what feels most supportive.
Sometimes that means addressing a physical restriction. Other times, it means slowing down, allowing the nervous system to settle, or simply creating space for the body to experience rest without guarding.
And sometimes, as physical tension begins to soften, emotions or memories may naturally surface.
These moments are never forced or expected. When they occur, they are met with compassion, a calm presence, and respect for your individual experience.
What to Expect During a Session
Every session is unique because every body—and every person's lived experience—is unique.
We begin by discussing what you're experiencing, both physically and within the broader context of your life. From there, treatment is guided by your individual needs and how your body responds.
❋ Intuitive, hands-on bodyworkGentle myofascial release, soft tissue techniques, and joint mobilization to address physical restrictions and protective tension.
